Default Share Your Best "The Crap I Got For Christmas" Story And Win Dell Discount Codes

We've had a lot of fun posting what we got for Christmas. Now let's see who has the absolute worst gift story. It can be this year or any Christmas past. We have some consolation prizes for those with the best stories. Thanks to Rick for the codes and may a few of you that wanted a cool new Pocket PC and got a Palm Zire instead win a code and fulfill your dreams!

• 3 x 25% off any Dell Axim X50 discount codes
• 1 x 20% off the 624MHz Dell Axim X30 or any X50 discount code

The catch is they expire January 5, 2005. The rules:

1. No whining.
2. Your post automatically enters you in the contest.
3. Put "No prize desired" as the first line of your post if you don't want to be in the contest because you have no plans on using the code.
3. No whining.
4. We'll pick winners later this week and email the codes to the address you've registered your Pocket PC Thoughts account with, so make sure it doesn't get trapped by a spam filter.
5. I don't know if it is global, US only, or what. And the codes might not work for some dumb reason. If that happens, we deeply apologize, and you can use this contest as your "The Crap I Got For Christmas" story for 2005.

Worst this year - a bath towel! Mother in law found a deal on bath towels so she gave everybody 1 towel each 8O

Update: Just to add to poor gifts given. This year I gave my wife a Windows Media Center PC. I am sure she will love it, as soon as she figures out how to turn it on. :devilboy:

Nothing bad really. I'm a international student in US and I don't have any immediate family nearby. So basically I got nothing. No big deal, but it would've been nice to get something just from anyone.

I would say a Palm Zire, but the year I got it I actually did ask for it.

The year I met my wife, her grandfather got me the B.O.D. cologne and after shave set. You know, the one with the scent that's named "Really Ripped Abs". My wife hated those. I can't accurately describe what she said they smelled like on a family forum...

No Prize Required

Several years ago my wife's Grandparents gave me a toilet bowl plunger that they got from Big Lots or the Dollar Store. I never used it, for 2 reasons:
1. I already had one
2. Because it appeared to me that since the handle was so short I would get my hands wet trying to unclog and overflowing toilet.

I will never forget that gift, even though I am sure I have disposed of it (and no, I did not flush it).

2nd worse, my wife convinced my parents to buy me a food processor. It has to have been 10 years since they gave it to me and I still have never used it (my wife has used it many times).

3rd worse. My wife gave me a ski rack that fit her SUV but not my car.

Default Not my gift, but...

My brother-in-law was given, by my father, a bunch of tube socks. The socks had my father's initials on them in black marker! 8O

The worst gift I have ever gotten was from my mother-in-law. She bought me one of those $4.99 electronic organizers you find at the checkout counter. She "knew" I was into those things. I tink I'll keep using my Jornada, thanks!!!

Worst thing I got for Christmas was this year... I got kicked out of my sister's house on Christmas morning! Long story short, my sister and I had a huge argument that ended with her telling me I was no longer welcome in her home. We settled it later, but not before I had driven 300 miles back home on Christmas morning. On the positive side, at least there was no traffic!

Hey, I never complain about any gifts. I'm just happy people take the time to think about me. However, I am planning to purchase a 50v (hopefully thursday or friday) and every little bit helps.
