Ok, CONTEST CLOSED!

This was a GREAT thread, I really enjoyed reading through everyone's comments, it's amazing to see what kind of impact Star Wars has had on people.

I'll update the front page with the winners once I draw the names...hold tight!

Default No better memory

I actually won my tickets to see Star Wars from a Radio Station in Denver, had I not won those tickets I would not have been able to see it as my parents were not too well off back then and movies was not something that we did not go and do. I wanted to win so bad and I just picked up the phone and won..... about fell over too! It was the biggest screen in Denver at the time and the theater was HUGE, at least from what I can remember. When I got home from the movie, I couldn't stop talking about it. The graphics and the story line was so well put together from a kids point of view it was GODLY! I have never stopped being a fan. That movie back in 1977 will always be a highlight for me! I can still remember how I felt after leaving the show. IT was AMAZING! Thanks for letting me re-live a great memory!

I know the contest is over but just had to share.

I watched the first three on video being too young to see them in the theatre. I did see them in the theatre much later as a "festival" all three played back to back. Yeah!

My wife had never seen them and couldn't understand why I insisted on dragging her and the kids to episode I. I stood in line an hour to get tickets and another hour to get into the theatre. Not fun with 5 and 9 year old kids.

During that movie, I finally experienced the "Star Wars" effect. My speechless wife & two kids loved it completely.

On the release of Episode II and III, they understood why it was extremely important to see it opening day.

At the end of III, my wife asked....

Wait for it....

"Uh, so when's the fourth one coming out?"

I fell over laughing and the kids gave her that look that says....
"You just don't get it. Do you?"

Brings tears to my eyes.

Star Wars - I remember seeing it in the theatre when it was released. And yes, the original Star Wars and all subsequent ones. Wow, I am really dating myself...

PS. My 6-year old would love the copy! Okay, so would I... 8)
