Default PowerStart Giveaway

We recently posted Jimmy Dodd's review of Schmidt6 Software's PowerStart application and have even offered a few unique ways to use this cool tool. Now, Mike, the product's developer, has offered to give a free license to five Pocket PC Thoughts readers.

To be eligible to win, all you have to do is make a post to this thread in which you mention at least one interesting/unique/strange/funny way to use PowerStart's capabilities. This weekend, we'll select the five winners randomly from the list of all posts.

Here's the not-so-fine print:

• You may enter/post only once. If you come up with additional ideas, simply edit your earlier post.
• Posts which do NOT offer ideas about using PowerStart are, of course, welcome. However, they will not be eligible to win a free license.
• Posts must be made prior to 1:00am EST Sunday, July 13 2003.
• No whining.

I've been planning to let my boss use my Axim so he can decide if it's right for him. PowerStart will be perfect to autostart PocketMVP right in the middle of a staff meeting we attend every day at the same time! I'll try to take a picture of everyone's faces when he's in the middle of a "hot topic" and all of a sudden, "The Matrix" fires up from the (unknown to him) 256Mg CF card! I guess at that point, I'll stand up and offer him a red pill and a blue pill.......

Are subscribers automatically entered into this contest as well, or are there two "classes" of contest?

Default Welcome to the Boss Zone!!

During meetings at work, I want my iPaq to autostart with a Scott Adams/Dilbert classic. This involves eerie music, while a strange voice cries "welcome to the boss-zone, where time and logic do not apply ....".
I might even replace the word "boss"with the name of the company. 8O

Default Lightswitch rave...

I would use it to play Strong Bad's techno song at startup and flip the backlight on and off with the beat...

Start up Pocket Bible each morning just before I get up so that my daily reading is right there when I turn my PPC on.

How about an alarm to remind me to check my tasks that are due today.

I'm thinking of ways to use it to automate control of my telescope. Wake up at a certain time, move the telescope to an interesting object, and then take a picture.

I would use it on my iPAQ 5455 to start up NEVO and turn my TV on in the morning just in time to catch the news while getting ready for work. It would also come in handy for turning on the TV (again to catch the news--I can't help it; I'm a news junkie) for when I get home from my nightly dog walk.
