Default Pocket PC UK User Group meeting

http://communities.msn.co.uk/PocketP...02.msnw?Page=1

Our UK friends had a happy day yesterday! They had a User Group meeting in London and Beth Goza, Microsoft, was there to show, smile and sun tan everyone with cool devices! Mattias Olofsson, member in the User Group, sent in a link to some pictures that he uploaded from the event. If you were there too and have pictures, please share!

One of the pictures shows a Pocket PC ascessory given to the participants. Do you know what it is?

A lighted stylus? Maybe a Pocket PC-branded one?

General comment on the Microsoft UK user group... initially I believe it was intended to travel the country visiting different Microsoft offices... well, the first one was announced in London to which a friend and I took the day off to attend (costing me a days wages being a contractor)... it took us nearly 6 hours to make it to our great capital and it's safe to say we were a little disappointed.

A couple of manufacturers were there but they didn't seem to be the guys "in the know"... in fact, we knew more about the new devices from what we'd read on the net than they seemed to... the event also seemed to be very heavily iPaq biased and while, arguably, it was a very important device for Microsoft it's a shame they most ignored the other devices.

Since successive event have also been staged in London, we've not bothered attending again... call me when you reach Manchester.

It looks like one of those mini butane torches that PalmV owners used to melt the glue and open up their machines, risking all, with the goal of actually boosting the memory to an outstanding.... 8 meg!

It's definitely a mini-torch. Butane, most likely.
