It took a few days longer than I thought, but it was tough making a decision as to the best post about our birthday event. The winner is blang, for the following post:

"Last new year's day I was invited to a party. I had already spent half of the day on your website entering any contest I could. Before I left my house, I was trying to convince my husband, who wasn't going to the party, to watch your website and enter the contests until I got back. He just looked at me and said "no way". Well, when I arrived at the party, I mentioned to one of the hosts (who was a Compaq rep) what I had been doing all day. So what did he do? He set me up on his laptop and told me to enter away. Even when the battery was low, he replaced it with another. I ended up staying the entire time socializing and going over to the laptop every fifteen minutes to check to see if I could enter anymore contests. It was a new year's party I would never forget!"

That post just made me laugh, because it still amazes me how much our little site can affect the lives of the people who read it. When we launched our New Years Day contest, it was very haphazard and chaotic, and we never imagined it would be as successful as it was. Boy were we wrong! 8O That post brought a smile to my face because I can envision it happening... :lol:

For that winning entry, blang will receive a Dell Axim X5 Advanced Pocket PC, a Gomadic Sync 'n Charge cable, an ECOVELL car lighter adaptor that will allow the Sync 'n Charge cable to re-charge the Axim in a car, a Pocket PC Thoughts Micro light, and a Handango/Mobile2Market scratch card that will allow blang to pick one free application for the Axim.

Runner-up entries were those by hoyboy9, Perry Reed, and beyondallcom. Each runner-up received a free lifetime subscription to Pocket PC Thoughts.
