Default Pocket PC Thoughts Birthday Giveaway: HP iPAQ 310 Travel Companion

Continuing our 8th anniversary celebration, I have a slightly different kind of device to give away: it's an HP iPaq (courtesy of HP), and it runs Windows CE, but it's not a Windows Mobile device. Instead, this iPAQ 310 is called a "travel companion", and it's a cool combination of GPS, media player, and travel tool. It has a gorgeous 4.3 inch, 800 x 400 resolution touch screen, and 2 GB on storage memory (along with an SD card slot for expansion). The MSRP on this is $449 USD.

Want to win it? Here's how: since I already asked you a GPS-related question, tell me what your favourite place in the world is to visit. Was it someplace you went on vacation? Or a favourite spot you like to visit nearby? One message per person please. I'll randomly select one post at 3 PM mountain time on Tuesday the 28th.

If you don't see your post right away, please wait 24 hours before re-posting. Odds are that it's your first post since we moved to vBulletin and it's simply held in moderation.

National Parks are my favorite. A great one to roam around and get immersed in the environment with its plants and animals is the Great Smoky Mountains near Gatlinburg Tennessee.

Thanks for the contest and more so for the excellent website that you run.

Bystander.

One of my favorite places is Crater Lake, OR. The view while driving around the lake is breathtaking and the colors are unreal.

Smile Best Place I Have Visited

Without a doubt, the best place that I have visited is Grand Teton National Park. Hiking along Jenny Lake and seeing a Bull Moose at 6:00 in the morning with the range in the bakground is positively breathtaking. Everyone should go there at least once. I know that I'll be going back there soon! With the HP Ipaq 310 ... I would get there quicker and probably without having to stop for directions!

Thanks for your consideration.

Default Favorite place?

I think my all-time favorite place has to be San Francisco. I lived there for several years, and though it's small for its population, there's a LOT to do any time of day or night.

I've unfortunately not been able to make it to many places, however, of the places I've been, I was fond of Freeport.

Hmmm I'd have to say I always enjoy visiting northern New Mexico (as that's home), but more exotically enjoyed Singapore.
