Pocket Informant, yep, at last, IMHO it's the best PIM ever.

Regards.

Probably on the basis that it is free? (Or at least bundled with the PPC). I have to say that it's use is limited and TomTom's product is by far the more superior! On what basis were the products selected - as the only ones listed I use are Pocket Informat and spb Products (both well earned). Resco didn't get a mention! 8O

Does anybody else think it's wierd that the winner for best pocket pc developer didn't have any winning applications??

And I have to agree -- MS Streets and Trips for best travel app?? Gimme a break!!! :idontthinkso:

Not really - if you look at a categories, they were very narrow. The bulk of Spb applications didn't fit into any of their categories, and from what I understand the criteria for "Best Developer" was based on everything that developer did as a whole, not how many awards that developer got in other categories.

What, don't you think Spb deserves it?

I halfway wondered if I'd get a response from their VP of marketing....

I haven't really used any of Spb's apps, but have seen the benchmark stuff you used on some reviews, and so I surmised that the categories were just too narrow.. but had to mention it anyway

Actually, from what I've seen of what you've shown, I'm fairly impressed with Spb's software! (you hiring?? )

Well, the other two finalists were CityTime and WorldMate, both of which are primarly time applications. I suspect they didn't include any of the GPS software that comes with hardware because Handango doesn't sell it. I haven't used Pocket Streets much simply because I don't have a need for it. However, the few times I have, it worked as advertised.

I definitely agree with the first two.

SPB is the whole package.

I can't say enough about PI. This is my killer app for the PPC. It's increased the value of my iPAQ drastically.

Well done all!
