Default Dopod 838 Pro Accessories Giveaway Contest

Back in September 2006, Microsoft invited me to come to Thailand for a Mobius event (Thailand is a beautiful country!), and while there I was given a Dopod 838 Pro (a.k.a. HTC Hermes). Unfortunately it ended up being defective and I had to send it back to Microsoft. Much to my surprise, a couple of weeks ago I received a "care package" with a whack of Dopod 838 Pro accessories. Of course I can't use them, so you know what that means. Giveaway! You can probably make out most of the accessories from the photo, but in no particular order they are a battery, a stylus, car windshield mount with dock, a docking cradle, a silicon case, a leather case with a belt clip, and an auto power adapter.

Want to win the whole shebang for your Dopod 838 Pro/HTC Hermes? Just post a message in this thread telling me the one place in the world you'd like to go on vacation - or if you've already been there, what your favourite thing about that place is. This contest will close at 5pm GMT -7 on Friday the 23rd, so post quick!

UPDATE: And the winner is oguime all the way down in sunny Brazil. Congratulations! Thanks for contributing everyone, your responses were fun to read. ;-)

Default Vacation

What is a vacation??

I think New Zealand would be nice. Then maybe a hop over to Australia. Good people down under.

Sitting in a chair and drinking beer while the waves are lapping over your legs as you watch the sun set in the white sand beaches of Boracay in the Philippines. It's quite an experience...

A vacation? Any south pacific island will do... I have been to Hawaii, but something a little more exotic (Tahiti?) would be just about right for me now.

And for that windshield mount, it would be perfect to mount my PDA with my new bluetooth solar gps logger to guide me to the airport on my way.

Budget and logistics permitting...I'd like to take a road trip to New Orleans once it has sufficiently recovered. The accessories would make it so much more fun to do

The food, the music, the culture...it's my sincerest hope that it gets back on its feet again.

Default That's a tough choice...

Hmm, where would I like to go on vacation? Well, it's a tough choice. I spent last year in China, and took a 2 week vacation to Vietnam and Thailand. The people, landscape, and food all count towards a good vacation spot. The landscape was best in Thailand, the people were great in China, and the food was best in Vietnam. So it is a tough choice. But I think I would have to go with my taste buds and pick Vietnam, possibly with a trip through China.

Of course, I would need a phone that would work in all places... like a... you know, something nice... possibly a pda phone... kind of like (just throwing names out here) a Dopod 838 Pro I'd definitely have to buy one if I won this.

The Bahamas. Something about those white sandy beaches and blue water. Seems absolutely relaxing to me. Cheers.

Had some great times on New Zealand beaches, like Pakiri. A long way from this Canadian winter.

I would love to go to Italy! Maybe sometime around the Formula 1 race?
