Default Dell Canada Slashes Axim X50 Prices, One-Day X50v Sale

Dell Canada has slashed the prices of their Axim X50 line, as their product page shows:

• 416mhz X50 goes from $449 to $349 CAN
• 520mhz X50 goes from $549 to $384 CAN
• 624mhz X50v goes from $649 to $454 CAN

Notice that the X30 is no longer showing on that page. All X50's include a free upgrade to Windows Mobile 5.0, so it almost makes you think there's a new model coming out or something. ;-)

In the immortal words of Ron Popeil, but wait, there's more! Dell Canada is doing a "10 Days of Deals" promotion, and today the X50v is up on the block for only $399 CAN! If you're looking for a device that will run Windows Mobile 5.0, it doesn't get much better than this.

Oh! I just ordered my x50v yesterday... I guess I did get the other discount...

Edit: I got it for $454, as just yesterday there was a bundle deal I believe, that cut the price down to about $400 and then added the upgrade CD for $50. I believe that deal goes on 'til the 30th...

$399 deal is for one day only. It is part of 10 Days deal only. You may contact Dell to see if you can get price adjustment.

The deal for X50V at $454 will end at Sept 19th, not 30th. I think it has been changed.

Jason, the new X50v price is actually $454 (looks like you inverted the numbers). Except today

Default Available in US?

Even though it is at the Canada Dell site, do you have to have it shipped to a Canada address?

Thanks for the information xiazm! I'm going to contact Dell today to see if I'm eligible for the deal. Hmm. The confirmation email that I got yesterday said that the $454 deal ends the 30th, but I checked the site and they have changed it to the 19th.

When you talking to Dell, do not forget to ask them to waive the shipping cost. Shipping is free the deal of $399.

Why do Canadian SALES make it to the highly viewed and high cost front page!?!?!

What is the percentage of Canadian members of this site? I doubt more than 10%.

I kept quiet the first, second, third ....time. But I am really tired of seeing "Canadian Sale" on the front page of PPC Thoughts.

Jason Dunn, be fair to the rest of your audience.

A significant portion of our readers are from Canada, and the person who runs this site (me) happens to be Canadian, so if I see something that's of interest to my Canadian readers, I'll post on it. I'm curious, why does it matter do you? We post on developer news, but not everyone here is a developer - yet I don't see you complaining about that. What does it cost you to look at news that may or may not be applicable to you?

If Dell USA is having a similar deal, by all means, send it in and we'll post on it. If Dell Peru (!) is having a sale, we probably wouldn't post on that, so we do use some logic in deciding if something is newsworthy for a significant enough number of people.
