Default Dell Canada Offering Axim X50v for $389

http://www1.ca.dell.com/content/top...DHS1&l=en&s=dhs

With a $210 discount, this offer isn't going to last long - I just ordered one myself so as of right now the discount still works. If you live in Canada and were waiting for a great deal on a Pocket PC that will be upgradable to Windows Mobile 5, here's your chance!

Must be nice. I want one for the same reasons, and right now, the best deal that I can find on Dell.com for the x50v in the US is $448, with the extra battery and 2yr extended warranty.

I'd rather have no extra battery, 1yr warranty and the lower price...

Is this only for Canadians or will they ship to the US?

I believe it's Canada only.

They had it without the extras for US$399 about a week or two ago. Or were you after a lower price?

Default good prices on Dell PDA's

I bought my x50v from the Dell refurb outlet (www.dell.com/outlet/) for $294. I had a new one I was testing at the time (not mine), decided I wanted to upgrade from my iPaq 4155 but wasn't up for dropping $500 in the process. Except for the little 'refurbished' sticker inside the battery compartment, I can't tell the difference. Dell has a lot of refurb units of varying configurations and prices - you might want to consider that as an option. I also bought my 20 gig DJ for the same price a year ago as a refurb - no complaints about either unit.

Wow! Thanks, Jason! Can't pass up a deal like that. Especially when, as you mentioned, we so infrequently get something like that up here in Canada. It's about 10am PDT, and my order just went in fine.

Only minor hassle was that the order site absolutely wanted a 'Unit #' of some sort, so I sent off a separate email to get them to alter the shipping address. Just so the Canada Poste guy doesn't get confused

Great deal! Thanks again for letting us know, Jason.

When Dell (USA) were offering their last deal (X50v + extended battery) for $430, then I finally made the jump away from my beloved iPAQ 2210. I really never thought that I'd leave the iPAQ family, but having waited so long for HP to produce an ideal spec PPC - which has never arrived, nor does it look like it will - then I threw caution to the wind and did it.

For me, the X50v has been spectacular - much better than I ever expected it to be: and that's from an iPAQ die-hard. I love it to bits.

Personally, I haven't found the battery life to be that intrusive, nor have I found the extended battery (size) to be too intrusive either.

Great product, great price :way to go:
