Oh yeah, if you've never done one of these chats before, get there 10-15 minutes early to make sure the chat control downloads - it'll take a while over a modem. Maybe a mb or two IIRC. See you there!

Someone needs to stress these four main points to the pocket pc team:

We need a close button that closes
We need landscape mode
We need higher resolution
We need a real Pocket Office

I think those are the biggest problems with the Pocket PC OS today. If these features were integrated, it would be almost perfect.

Oh, and can PPCT post a transcript after the chat for the people who miss it?

MS will post a transcript. This can be a few days to a week or two after the event. I'll try to remember to post a link to it.

Careful! The bigger the piece you give, the less you have left to work with.

We need a reliable Activesync that just works. I'm still not sure why partnerships come and go and why there are unresolved items with Outlook when I have an empty Outlook. I can't use a USB hub with my iPaq, which means I'm constantly fooling around with cabling in back of my computer. My wife hates it because I keep disconnecting the printer and she can't figure out my spaghetti tangle of cables to reconnect it.

We need settings on the PPC that stay set. My connections keep resetting for no reason that I can see.

Yeah, yeah, I'm whining about the things that bother me and not stepping back to be objective. But those two things are the reasons I've not picked up my iPaq in days.

Please, please, create an Active Sync as stable (or more stable) than Hot Sync and I will recommend the PPC platform to anyone. As it is, I limit my recommendations to those with; a well rounded computer knowledge, lots of patience and lots of free time. Everyone else I steer to that other  PDA platform. Sorry, but it's the right thing to do.

And just one personal beef. Please allow me to disable the program buttons so that only the power button will turn on my device. I actually keep my iPAQ in my shirt pocket (i.e. Pocket PC). If I used a case, it would not fit. Occasionally, just a wiggle will power up the device. I have gotten some very interesting stares from people when they see my chest glowing in a dark restaurant.
