Default Technobrains Reviews the EDGE Library License

http://technobrains.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=446

"If a device can be programmed, someone will want to write games for it. Thankfully there are companies who take advantage of this desire and try to provide frameworks to make game development easier for the masses. One such company is Elements Interactive, who has developed the EDGE library for cross platform game development on the PC, Pocket PC, Smartphone, various Symbian and even the GP2X environments. Is this product truly “cutting EDGE”, or is it just another framework to throw in the mix? My focus for this review was on the Pocket PC implementation of the framework. More specifically in using eVC++ 4.0 to create products for Windows Mobile 2003 devices. To create a Windows Mobile 2002 compatible project you’d use eVC++ 3.0, which shouldn’t be too much different. For Windows Mobile 5.0 devices, (and Windows Mobile 2003 if you wish) you would use Visual C++ 2005."

We've posted about EDGE before, but this is one of the first reviews of it I've seen. Fancy yourself a game developer? This is definitely worth checking out then. Myself, I'm waiting for the development kit that includes a telepathic brain harness so I can think of the type of game I want to play.
