Repligo Compared To Adobe Reader

It is an application that allows you to easily create documents you can view on your Pocket PC, Smartphone or other mobile device. You can read our own Pocket PC Thoughts review of version 1.0.  Dr. Mohammad Al-Ubaydli has put together a review comparing Repligo to Adobe Reader on the Pocket PC and Palm and it really shows where Repligo has advantages. He has taken a single PDF document from his desktop and shows how that looks on your handheld with the different readers. Great review Mohammad!

I made a quick test, opened a document in Word 2000 that I had recently created and created a .rgo document. It was 10 % larger than the PDF for the same document! Then I looked at it and saw that it had used a page size of A4 although the document is in A5 format! The driver supports A3 but NOT A5! If I convert from the PDF file (again using A4 format instead of A5) then it is a good 30 % smaller than the PDF but has the wrong page size.
The viewer program on the PocketPC does look very nice!!
How can I convert a document in A5 format? |

I agree that Repligo is far better than Acrobat Reader, except for one thing. You can't search through the text with Repligo like you can with Acrobat. That's something that I find very useful. I have several large documents and I need to be able to find things quickly. The search function in Acrobat, although it is really slow, is better than hunting for what I am looking for. Otherwise, Repligo is significantly faster and smaller, making it better for everything else. The problem is, I have to keep Acrobat around just so I can search through documents. I wish I could dump it.

Get this info to the repligo forums at www.cerience.com. I've necer run across this but being in North America, 8½×11 satisfies 99% of our paper needs. You say A4 and I think of my car.  |

Is there a program that allows printing of RepliGo documents? (similar to Print Pocket CE)

Wow, I know it's been mentioned but I kept putting off trying Repligo, now I really want to use it 
...But now I just read above that it doesn't let you search the text at all on the converted file?? |

You can print directly from RepliGo to any Ir or Bluetooth enabled printer. Also, you can download HP's Mobile Printing Solution from our web site for free at: http://www.cerience.com/hpmobileprinting which integrates into RepliGo. The difference being you can use a networked HP printer and the output is noticeably better.

Agreed. I know a lot of people here love RepliGo but I failed to see the advantage it had. Obviously the advantage is within the performance and now I am considering it.

I'm also a big fan of RepliGo. rgo files is loading fast on the PDA as well as on the desktop comared to pdf. I'm considering convert all of my pdf to rgo formats and carry them around in my sd card.

Indeed, the performance forced me to buy a copy.  I'm kind of surprised this review didn't really make that point -- I could have lived with Adobe's formatting, but I couldn't tolerate the terribly, terribly slow speed.
