Default Remote Media Access with Windows Mobile

http://www.twoinchview.com/?p=82

"Orb is a simply-named, but profoundly useful remote access digital media product that when used in conjunction with a Windows Mobile device, is guaranteed to put a smile on your face for sheer “Wow!” factor. Orb is both the name for the service and the software itself. You install it on any Windows XP-based computer, and it transforms your computer into a powerful solution for serving up your media from any browser, anywhere – including the one found in your Windows Mobile device. The service was initially fee-based at launch, but is now free and advertising supported."

If you've never tried Orb before, Jason's article offers an excellent overview of the service's feature set. Whether it's recorded TV, photos, audio, or video, you can use Orb to stream content from Windows XP to your mobile device - all at no cost. It's hard to top that.

Wow! This is a great addition to my ppc functionality. I am pleasantly surprised at what it can do!
I could not however view real video BBC news TV on my pocket pc. I could only hear the audio. Whereas, WMV based TV channels could be viewed. Do we need to have real player installed on pocket pc to view it?
A wonderful software still.

You can find the instructions for dealing with this issue here. I wouldn't bother with RealPlayer Mobile - it hasn't been updated since Pocket PC 2002
