Starting at an unheard-of 199 dollars for the 300MHZ Basic model reviewed here, or 299 dollars for the slightly better equipped 400MHZ Advanced model which also ships with a USB cradle, and more memory the Axim X5 Basic is far and away the cheapest PPC currently available. With this low price-point Dell has made the X5 Basic affordable to a large portion of the market that before wouldn't have been able to purchase a PPC, including me."

This is a review by a non-PDA site, and I found it quite refreshing - I didn't realize how insulated PDA Web sites are from reality until I read this review. He's right - it IS pretty crazy that games you get in a cereal box are so expensive for the Pocket PC. ;-)
