Default Matt Miller's Walk Down Memory Lane

http://blogs.zdnet.com/cell-phones/?p=141

"I was working on some reviews this weekend and took a look at all of the devices in my current collection and started reflecting back on my mobile device history. Mickey recently asked me about my PDA/phone history on TCPJ Unlocked Show #004 and I thought a few of you may be interested in seeing what devices I have owned over the years. I also used many more devices during 2 week to 30-day evaluation periods that would easily take me over 100 mobile devices used of the last 11 years. Check out the image gallery of all of my devices."

My friend Matt Miller published a great piece about his gadget history over on his ZDNet blog, and I thought it was worth linking to, if only for you to see the completely insane number of devices that Matt has owned over the years. Happy Friday everyone, have a great weekend!

Default Too Many Devices

That's kind of nuts. If you used 90 devices over 11 years serially, that works out to one device every 45 days or so.

I think my history is a bit more sane.

Good grief, I hate to think of how much money he has spent on all of those devices. My list is considerably shorter:

Palm Vx, Palm IIIc, Casio EM-500, Palm m515, Sony T665, HP 1910, Palm T|E, Palm T|3, Palm T|5, Apple 8GB iPhone.

Interesting... I think this is my complete list, though not in any perticular order. I started using PDAs in 1995 or 1996 (sometime in that era..)

Palm III, ipaq 3600, hp 2495, keyocera(sp?) 6035(?) and 7135, Cingular 2125, ATT Title (current), Black Jack II (2 months then became my wifes), Blackberry 8800, Palm Z22... And maybe one or two more.

The devices I most enjoyed are the Tilt, Black Berry, HP 2495 and Keyocera 7135 (except when it would crash). The Keyocera 7135 is what made me a PDA/Phone fan.

and Black Berry wins hands down for email... Windows for everything else.

Now what I want is a variation of the Tilt with a 4-4.5" screen and I would be happy(er). I am 6'2" and would like a device that is built for larger hands.
