No. It is 100% audio, except for the show notes. It took me 37 minutes to say it. No way am I going to type it. Sort of defeats the purpose of a podcast anyway.
What? Come on, I am sure you can find someone to transcribe if for you. You have a following.
re: the initial sync: Syncing several thousand 1-2kB files can tend to take a while, even with a fairly fast processor on the desktop end.
But in the long run with PS, it's not going to matter. Sure, you may have to burn an extra minute or two when you first set up your device, but subsequent syncs will be almost as fast it were pre-PS days, since you're only needing to write maybe a few PIM updates, as opposed to the hundreds or thousands in the initial synchronisation.

Exactly, this is the whole charm of podcasting - available ONLY in audio. Besides intonation and stress of voice of the speaker also conveys information that is not transcribeable... No, there should be no transcriptions of podcasts. Either listen to it, or lose it! :devilboy:
OK. Your choice. But I'm not interested in listening to it. I'd MUCH prefer to read this material. Podcast's are cool (I guess) but they don't seem worth it. Surely I'm not the only one here that thinks this.
Enjoy reading your material but I guess I'm going to miss this one.

Do note that Ed has included a short list of show notes with each publication of a ThoughtCast. It's very brief, but for the most part, they contain links to most of the topics discussed in his audio feed. Sure, you'll miss the whacky mindworks of Ed, but I guess it's better than nothing.

I generally don't have the patience for podcasts either. But remember, this is not crucial news or something. It's like missing a radio show -- no biggie. (Ed, please don't take offense. :P)
