1) Delete the old subscription
2) Add the new one

Palm will NOT be the first OEM to lisence both PalmOS and WM. Samsung fyi has been lisencing both for a while as well as some minor lisencees like Oswin/GSL etc...

With regard to Samsung, I thought about that as I was saying it but decided you can't really go to Samsung and buy one. It isn't like you, as a consumer, can decide between a Palm and WM Samsung phone without deciding between carriers, and my understanding is Samsung has really dropped Palm.

It gets murky when talking about carrier only devices. Samsung is really more of an ODM than an OEM.

But you could then use the same arguement for Palm! You won't be able to buy this rumored WM Treo 670 directly but through Verizon! A majority of handsets are sold via wireless carriers, so that isn't anything suprising. Furthermore, Samsung is still a PalmOS lisencee. It's most recent release was the i539 in China fyi...

That's a shame. Sorry Palm is changing this. Right now you can buy a Treo from them and tack on a carrier plan at www.palm.com.

BTW Palm is NOT the first company to sell POS and PPC devices.

I believe Symbol was the first one to do it years ago...

As you said in the podcast, Pocket PC Phones beat PPC + BT Phone for functionality. Auto email check and MSN online while the device is "off" is great!!!

Why do you keep the speakers so loud? Personally, I really like the intro. Dave has done a superlative job. 8)
