Rumors On The iPAQ rw6100

The ipaq 6100 is real and is being sold as of today in Korea for a price of about 810,000KRW (Approx US$675).

The market price of this product is actually being set at 726,000KRW(Approx US$600) due to service provider rebates in Korea.

This is a CDMA PCS Phone (PCS = 1,800Mhz, Cellular = 800Mhz in Korea) and does include 802.11b wireless LAN function integrated with 1XEV-DO functions to support 2.4mbps data transfer rates, which is very common in Korean PCS and Cellular network.

The 6100 will be only sold for KT(Korea Telecom), PCS & Public Wireless Lan service provider in Korea and will not be sold to any other countries except Korea.

This phone is a variation of the LG SC8000 PDA phone and is manufactured by LG under the brand name of HP ipaq by ODM means.
