Hello, all from RoadWired. This is actually my very first time posting anything on any discussion site (Jason, thanks for the invitation to do so, and readers, forgive the length of the post and any other beginner's errors). I have always felt it is better for manufacturers not to chime in on these things, for a variety of reasons, but I happened to see some of the comments and thought I would at least let you know that we really do pay attention and care.
Fzara, I am really sorry you seem to have had such a disappointing experience on our site, and would be happy to discuss it or help you feel better about us any time. For what it's worth--and I think many PPCT members would agree--most of our feedback is very good, and we are very proud of the wonderful "fan following" that we have. But we care deeply about any negative feedback and take it very seriously. We are as responsive a company as I think you'll find, and I hope we can win you over some day... at least, maybe, convince you to think something better of us than "stupid!"
In answer to your specific concern, Podzilla is actually intentionally “buried” in the site right now, mainly because we have had some delivery delays and we really don’t like to push products until we are positive of when we can ship them… and we *really* hate to make promises we can’t keep. As much as it is wonderful for any business to build a backlog of orders, we are somewhat “old fashioned” when it comes to customer service, and do everything we can to avoid disappointing people, even if it means waiting a bit longer to really sell a product. That being said, now that we have a handle on the final delivery (thanks to the increasingly-common outbound port delays, we are 2 weeks behind, now looking at mid-May), we can be more confident in our promises, update the shipping info and and start to move the new products to more prominent positions within the site (in direct response to your comments, we just put a link on the home page a moment ago).
As for the price, an old mentor once gave me one of my favorite business expressions, and something that has always guided us: "I would rather explain the price than apologize for the quality." Cliche, perhaps, but true. That said, I think you will find that at $69.95 (our retailers will probably offer some promotional prices once up and running), Podzilla is very competitive with other bags of its size from other respected high-end manufacturers. Trust me, it is no small feat to sew over 20 pockets into all those little nooks and crannies!
I hope that is at least a little helpful. Thanks for putting up with my long first-time post, and please do keep the feedback--good or bad--coming. We are listening.
