What about a RS-232 Serial Cable
I need to be able to connect my GPS Serial interface to the Dell.
Post here if someone knows or can ask Dell about that option.
Thanks,

I think that's a mistake on the page. If you select the lower end dell, with the less rom/ram, that becomes selected as default. It's probably a mistake. It looks like it doesn't come with a cradle though... that's an extra $20! :? As for size, we've been over this for weeks now. Some, including myself, are willing to trade size for specs.

It looks like they corrected this. The options now are:
Intel® X-Scale™ Processor 400Mhz, 48/64MB, 3.5 QVGA Display
Intel® X-Scale™ Processor 300Mhz, 32/32MB, 3.5 QVGA Display [subtract $80]

I think this is going to be big. Dell pays attention to the little things - one reason I buy their laptops/PCs/Servers exclusively now.
Look at the Flash demo - see the Today Page? Dell logo'd. No other OEM has bothered to create their own custom logo for the device that I know of. They keep the basic MS Mobile logo.

The prices are lower than expected too. The 64MB 400MHz verison is $329 - then you get a $50 rebate - that is $279. Plus their order page is classic Dell. Drop dead easy to order accessories like spare batteries, memory cards, the folding keyboard, extra stylus etc.

It looks like you need to add the cradle on to your purchase. However, if you add it on you will pay the originally quoted price of $349. After the rebate it's back down to $299. Of course you save if you don't get the cradle.

The news about an OPTIONAL cradle is wonderful. Maybe I'm blind, but it didn't look like that was the case earlier this morning. Thankfully they've fixed the ram/rom typo. I've been waiting to order all morning, but it looks like they were still working out the bugs.

Well, I've ordered mine! The Cradle is an additional $20 so to speak, but if you get just the Travel Sync cable it is only $279 after rebate
The $299 price does include the cradle. Only thing that disappointed me was that the 3440mAh High Capacity battery isn't available yet, even though it is listed on the tech specs page.
Ships on or before 12/5

Dell just updated their page within the last hour. They removed the snap-on keyboard ($49), removed the 3440mAh battery ($129) and reduced the price on the higher end model from $349 to $329 to make up for the optional cradle which was originally assumed to be included.
