What!? If you want a sleeve-compatible device, get a 5xxx unit. If you want a slimmer solution, get a 1xxx, 2xxx or 4xxx. The 2xxx have CF and SD. The Axims are also good -- this is a just great solution for somebody who wants a tiny unit with integrated wireless. Believe it or not, everyone doesn't have the same requirements...

BTW, jnunn, the button layout is a personal thing. I really hated the 1910's dpad -- found it unuseable with my thumb. I prefer this one immensely.

The Axim does cost less and I give Kudos for Dell pushing the price envelope in this competitive space. HP, however isn't that bad. There is the 221x devices which does include CF and has integrated wireless (BT) built-in. The size of the device is much smaller than the current crop of Axim devices. I believe HP will end up with a wide variety of devices to meet multiple price points and functionality requirements.

Did the hide-able keyboard rumor ever pan out?

Unfortunately, it did not... the keyboard sticks out on the 43xx just like it does on the Hitachi. Too bad, a hiding keyboard would have made it a small (short) device worth my consideration.

By the way, I do not understand why anyone would pre-order a PDA these days. After the yellow screen debacle I certainly would want to see a new model first hand before I put down any cash.

You don't have to put down any cash to pre-order. You're not charged until the product ships, so that means you have time to read reviews, etc.

That's really funny. T3 is real yellow, but every Palmer like it and enjoy it.Why PPC users always have so many complaints?

I think Pocket PC'ers are just a little more sophisticated and have higher standards than Palmers...

If the 43xx is just a 1940 with Wi-Fi, why don't they just call it 1950 or something.

By creating a line of same products (close enough it apears) but with completely different number they will confuse people!!!

Actually, I find the 1910 and 2215 quite sleek. Although the 2215 actually looks sort of chubby -- it's quite a small device still. The 19xx devices has "smooth" painted all over them (in more ways than one...especially when you drop it due to lack of grips  )

Well nowadays, if a device has dual slots, the CF is usually reserved for clunkier cards like GPS, WiFi, and VGA cards -- all the while SD is usedfor storage. I'll dare a guess that WiFi use far outweighs the other two. So they decided to do away with the CF altogether and include WiFi instead, and leave the SD for storage. Honestly, I'd much rather have a laptop to do presentations and have speaker notes on my PPC while controlling the slides through Bluetooth/WiFi, then holding a PPC that's connected to a projector via CF and clunky cables.

Or do they have solutions that allow for slides to be "beamed" to the projector via bluetooth or WiFi? That will be sweet! 8)
