Default Pocket Loox 610 Gains FCC Approval

http://firstloox.org/forums/showthr...s=&threadid=976

Well, it looks like the next-gen Pocket Loox is more and more likely going to hit the market: Duncan, over at FirstLoox, has found that the FCC has now approved the device (it's rumored there'll be versions with BT and with both BT and WLAN).

The specs apparently match what was reported on before; let's just hope that Fujitsu actually brings it to the US market this time.

Looks like a 2210 with WiFi. Nice!

The things that stand out to me are

That the IR port is on the side. Could be a little incovenient for beaming contacts etc

The Headphone hack is on the side. Unless you've got an l-shaped headphone jack this could be annoying (but that's just me)

What's an FSC speed button?

Otherwise it looks like a great unit (doubt I'll see one on my part of the world though).

Default FSC Speed Menu

I have a Look 600. The FSC Speed Menu button is a special unobstrusive button that calls up a list of related programs and a few device management programs. The list I have is as follows:

Organize
Messaging
Office
Entertainment
System
File Explorer
Running Programs
FSC Keylock

The first 5 jump to lists of related programs. The last three should be self explanatory. You can use the menu (and the scroll button) to avoid using the stylus.

I love the device, and F-S has treated its customers well.

Cheers

Dave

I agree with you! However the device looks better on this picture than the first one which was circulated initially.

Actually, I'm refering to the photos in general, not what is portrayed. Exposition, Contrast, Aperture...

Perhaps it is not the camera, perhaps the Loox is equipped with a state-of-the-art technology to blur everything within 50 cm range !
