You said it! I'm
amazed at how
uninteresting I find
everything on the market today and all the announced products for the PPC2003SE cycle so far (like both Loox).
The Loox has NOTHING to make me choose it over an iPaq 4150. Who cares if Loox has the "improved" PPC2003SE while the 4150 has "only" the "old" PPC2003 standard edition when the ONLY real benefit of SE is VGA support which the Loox doesn't have? It's really baffling that Fujitsu is even bothering "update" the Loox line to a new OS whithout designing the hardware to take advantage of the one real advantage of the OS.
I'm starting to worry that PPC2003SE is not worth waiting for. By now there should be some rumors or announcements of something small with VGA if there was going to be one... It's like I might as well just make up my mind today to either live with the brick-size of the Toshiba e800 and get the VGA I want, or live with the QVGA of my iPaq 1910 and keep the "pocketable" form-factor. It looks like no one is coming forward with both.
Serious bummer...
Of course if I'm deciding to live with a "brick" for the VGA, I might as well get the Sharp Linux SL-5600... Hum...
Anyone have the SL-5600???
