It doesn’t matter if you use your device for productivity, gaming, music, video, or email – everything takes power. Who wants to think about recharging their devices? There’s nothing exciting about that – the fun comes in using them! Sadly, battery life still isn’t at the point where a single charge will last weeks, so until that happens we need to have strategies in place for getting as much use out of our Windows Mobile Smartphones and Pocket PCs as possible. If you’re the kind of user who recharges daily from home or work, you may not have to think about battery life much – even a heavily used Pocket PC or Smartphone should last a full day. If you do any traveling though, or don’t recharge your device every day, there are some power accessories that will make your battery life last a lot longer. There are many companies making accessories like the ones I mention in this article, but I’ve selected Pocket PC Techs accessories to look at for two reasons: they’re very high quality, and they just happen to have sent a few of them my way."
Isn't it sad how our devices never seem to have enough juice? It's going to take a while before battery technologies progress, so while you wait for that to happen, you'll probably need an accessory or two to keep your device going. That's my only real complaint about my PCC-6700: The battery life is dismal. Even with Bluetooth and WiFi turned off, the best I can usually manage is a few hours.
Those DUO adapters look interesting. I wish they were available a few months ago when I ordered all my other PPCTechs accessories, as the shipping method they use is rather pricey and I would not order a single item from them for this reason. Three or four items at a time, sure, but not one item.
I don't know which is worst battery life or all the chargers that you have to carry. Why can't they charge all devices through a mini-usb and have one charger that works with phones, PDA's, GPS,..... .?
Then you could have a super charger with multi-cables so that you could charge a number of devices at the same time. Or plug GPS & PPC into your car. My travel bag would be half the weight
