Latest figure I've seen is ~$1000 USD. They're currently on order and set to be delivered in a couple of weeks.

Now to answer your question, the bang for buck is subjective. Some are willing to pay top dollars for a very feature-rich device, while some aren't.

who is selling it and where can I get the final specs on the flame. I havent seen any recent press on it

An official specs list hasn't been unveiled, but most of what you see in the threads here should be spot on with the final release.
