AOL SMTP Problems

I just got the Treo 700w and began setting up my aol email account using IMAP. I can receive emails no problem, but I can't send any. From what I've been reading, aol's smtp server must use port 587, anyone know how to change the port? I've tried smtp.aol.com:587 to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, I found an smtp manager software, unfortunately it only works on Windows Mobile 2003.

i know nothing about AOL's SMTP config, but i can tell you that when i got my 700w, i could not send any mail regardless of SMTP configuration. after 2 days and literally over 5 hours with verizon data support, it was decided that the phone was defective. i swapped for a new one and it worked on the first try.

have you tried another SMTP server?
