Default A716 - WiFiMe messes up PocketPlus "start bar"

Hi,
I just installed the trial of PocketPlus 2.0 on my Asus A716. When I switch WiFi on, the WiFiMe shows a little icon with the signal-strenght in the "start bar". Now since I have PocketPlus installed, it messes up the area where the icon is shown.

Anybody knows how to fix that?

Thanks

I don't think there is anything you can do, since Pocket Plus "takes over" the start bar, that in turn covers up the utility. :?

Yep, I think Mark is right. Wisbar basic does the same thing.

I use the WiFiCFG (the little house in the bottom right of the Today screen). The "Wireless" tab shows signal strength.

Ok... I also use WiFiCFG to turn WiFi on/off but after turning on, the WiFiMe Icon always shows up and messes up the start bar. How can I hide this icon by default?

Thanks
Michael

Well, I don't have much experience with wifime because I've run wisbar since almost day one. My wifime never comes up even when I'm connected.

However, if you look in the help menu of the A716, it indicates that you can click on wifime once connected to bring up a pop-up menu. It appears that the last item in the pop-up menu is an option to hide wifime from the start bar.

Will try wisbar, maybe it just hides it!

Well, a bit of an update here. It DID hide it for a long time. However, after I made the last post about looking in the help menu, I tried to turn off wisbar. Wisbar has an option to turn it off and run the ppc at "stock" settings until you turn it on again. (This is harmless because wisbar remembers all of the custimizations you had between turning it off and on.).

When I turned it off, I connected, and the wifime icon showed up as expected. I just checked it to make sure that the hide option was there and that my advice was good. It was.

Then, when I turned wisbar back on and connected again, my wifime was there! And, it has been there since.

At this point, I don't have a clue why it disappeared in the first place. So . . . if you want a hide function, you might be out of luck with wisbar. Personnally, I'm kinda glad to have wifime back.

Wifime does appear to be working correctly for me though. It sounds like it wasn't functioning properly for you.

Oh, another thing. I just reviewed the post again. You said all along that wifime "messes up" the start bar when you connect and it appears.

When wifieme shows up for me running wisbar, it does not mess up the start bar. It was simply either there and functioning properly or not there at all. No start bar mess-ups.

Like I said earlier, I don't run wisbar advance. I run a basic version. Basically, I wanted an add-on that had a close button. Basic has that as does Advance. I decided that I didn't need Advance, so I didn't download it. I'll look for a link for the software I use and post it soon.

Hi,
please look at this! I have PocketPlus2 and Wisbar Adv. installed:

Picture with "normal" start bar:

Picture with WiFiMe on:

Picture with WiFiMe on and battery status from PocketPlus Off:

Do you see what the icon does to the start bar on my device?!

I am wondering why you cannot see the "block effect" on your PDA?
