Avantgo modem sync hangs my i700 after WM2003 upgrade

I upgraded my SPH-i700 to WM2003 over the weekend. I usually download my Avantgo channels via ActiveSync. However, every time I try to do a modem sync with Avantgo via the phone connection, the i700 hangs, and I have to do a reset. Has anyone else experienced this?

Im having the same issue. Ive loaded 2003 so many times, I think its permamnently burned into my unit.
