Windows Mobile 5.0 Upgrade?

I contacted ViewSonic customer support about a Winodws Mobile 5.0 upgrade for V37, although he said ViewSonic did not have anyhting planned. Although he said a 3rd party might release one! There is hope yet!

A third party can't release one. OS updates MUST come from the manufacturer, since only they have access to the customization layer: drivers, hardware data, tweaks, etc.. The CSR apparently is either lying or simply doesn't know what he's talking about. Sorry.
