Default V37 Processor Type

A very newbie question - I've just received my very first PDA, a V37 courtesy of the .NET 2003 offer. It is described as having an Intel Xscale processor. Software seems to talk about ARM, MIPS, SH3, and i486. What's the difference and what do I choose when I install s/w?
