Default Are the x50 batteries the same size or different?

I saw that the pictures were up on Dell's site of both the 1100 and the 2200. I didn't really see a size difference. So does anyone know for sure if the battery sizes are the same or different?

Of course, the pictures could be just place holders trying to deceive us.

They are definitely different sizes.

I got off the phone with Dell to ask what the dimensions are for the batteries:

1100
1.535 x 2.047 x .2755

2200
1.57 x 2.047 x .55

So does this mean that there is a possiblity that the extended battery will fit flush? I don't see why it couldn't since the overall thickness of the device is about .7. Does anyone have a Dell to see if there's any addtional space in the battery compartment? :?:

If there were additional space in the battery compartment they either would have made the device smaller, or made a bigger battery standard...

I would expect the battery to not be flush.

I am also thinking about the extended battery. I wonder if anyone designs cases with extended battery in mind.

Default x50 battery question

Does anyone know the OFFICIAL voltage of the batteries for the x50? I'm looking at a couple of possible external battery solutions (involving AA batteries and a USB socket to get the juice to the PPC). I'm looking for the voltage, so I can figure out the relative battery life. I've seen AA NiMH batteries with as much 2500 mAh, at 1.25V each, making a 4-pack solution 2500 mAh at 5V. I assume that any USB cables for the x50 will adjust the voltage accordingly. To repeat: anyone know the x50 battery voltage?

Thanx!
