It looks like you're trying to find out which one is better. Since I was considering the e740/e750 before I bought my Axim X5 400, I'll give you my reasoning...
The e740 is just too expensive. Either one of the Axims is a great deal.
The screen on the e740 is poor. Over the past year, I've watched an e740 get dimmer and dimmer at Office Depot. The screen is not up to par with the Axim.
Although some people say the wi-fi range on the e740 is great, others say that it is really bad. If you need intergrated wi-fi, get an HP 5455, or an Axim X7 (when they come out).
The battery latch on the e740 is poorly located, so if you accidentally slide it you'll loose all your data.
The Axim has everything the e740 has (except wi-fi and a great video chip).
