Default Wi-Fi for the Axim

I have a Linksys 802.11b access point.

Thinking of getting this CF 802 card for the Axim:

Can anyone comment?

That is the exact same card I was going to get after I get my Axim (hopefully). Make sure to check Amazon to see what the shipping is from them; the rebate applies to three places, Buy.com, Amazon, and Provantage. Provantage has very expensive shipping, not sure about the difference between Buy.com and Amazon, but I know they are the same price either way.

I have a couple Linksys wired network products, and I have never had any problems with them, and IMHO, Linksys is the most popular networking product company among regular consumers.

I read reviews and it works fine according to those (always get the latest drivers and support applications, of course), even though it really isn't WiFi certified. However, any other CF wireless card would be at least twice the price (I'm thinking of the Socket one and the Symbol one).

Thanks for the info.

The item qualifies for Buy.com's free standard shipping at the moment.

I don't mind sticking with Linksys (not wifi certified) as I'm already on Linksys hardware and plan to stay that way in the near future because I'd like to get the signal booster when it becomes available:

I've ordered the Netgear MA701, with Christmas around the corner I'm not sure when I'll get it. I'll post what I think of it when I get it.

I’m thinking of getting a 802.11b card for my dell but my question is can I get one for my computer and get them to talk or do I need a router? I really don’t want to get a router. I already have two nic’s in my machine now. One for the internet, and the other to my kid’s computer.
With the isp I have I can’t go into a router with my internet connection and do the things I want to. I could set up a router on the network with the kid’s computer but don’t really want to. Would like to put a wireless card in my machine and one in my ppc. Just not sure if that would work or not.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
