Default Video on the X50V

I am having a hard time getting my Axim to play any video files. The files are standard mpeg files. Do I have to convert from mpeg to wmv files to get it to play? Or do I just need to download pocket divx or pocket tv?

yeah, don't bother to stamp on it again by converting it to some other format, just download a player such as the multi-award-winning free Pocket TV from - http://www.pockettv.com - you've got to reg it, but there's no cost for non-commercial use. and of course, there's pocket divx too, as you mentioned. so many players, so little time...

Forget PocketTV and use Betaplayer it is more flexible... it plays several formats besides mpg.

No cost except spam from Pocketgear which you agree to recieve in the fine print somewhere. Great program though and it's really not that bad as spam goes. Maybe monthly update e-mails with good Pocket PC products for sale.

Their fine print says they share their list with their strategic partners, which has included AIM Software and CherrySoft, which sell adult oriented PPC software, along with other titles. Many were not pleased at having Strip Poker and Blackjack ads hitting their inbox because they download PocketTV.
