ambicom cf wifi

Ok, I've got an axim, and I have the ambicom cf wifi card. There are some free, open ap's around here. How do I use them? Using the ambicom utility, I can see when I'm getting a signal, but can't figure how to connect to it.

I can't get either pocket warrior or ministumbler or winc to work, either.

Well if they are really public APs, then contact whoever administrates them and get them to help you through it
