Default XDA II/imate - Problem setting up GPRS connection

I just got a new imate PPCPe (same device as the XDA II).

Its got the latest WM2003 ROM and Radio stack. I am trying to set up a GPRS connection.

I go to Start > Settings and to the Connections Tab and click on Connections.
Apparently in the window it is supposed to show me two headings MY ISP and My Network or something like that each of which have some links which allow me to set up the connection. But I see nothing.

In the eonnections window all i see is a message saying "To set up or change connection information, tap one of the followinglinks".

But there are nolinks??? am i supposed to install something before I do this ir configure the GPRS modem somewhere else ?

What am I missing?

Send a message via MSN to snayar

Hi humayunl,

You may think that the XDAII, MDA2, iMATE forum activity is nonexsistent due to lack of help right?

Well, fear no more... 8)

Please follow the link below and prepare to receive an overdose of iMATE information...

http://www.xda-developers.com

P.S.- Sorry PPCT ops: but that link is a must for any XDA (and variants) users.

Best regards,
SNayar

Just when I was about to give up!

Thanks man.

btw, after I posted the message, I figured out the solution to my problem. I just needed to go to the advanced tab in connections, click on Select Networks and define an new Internet Network.

Usually there are default entries but in my case there weren't thats why I wasnt seeing anything.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Humayun
