Hmmm....Nobody says it can't. The current model just doesn't. Don't forget the XDA is over a year old now (give or take) At the time this device was coming to market they put in a blend of features that were common in the market at the time, and what could be put at an acceptable cost at that time. SDIO? Why would you bother spending the money on SDIO at that time? There was nothing to use in it. Bluetooth, well that was probably a cost decision as well. For Pocket PC this was a first generatiom, mainstream device that I think HTC wanted to get to market with at as low a cost as possible, and see what shook out in the market place for future models. I don't think it was ever intended for cellphone users who use Pocker PCs. I think it was intended for Pocket PC users who use cellphone.

In other words it was never intended for heavy cellphone users.......Worldwide it has done pretty well.
You intended main point on constant GPRS is a very good one.
