What is the difference between.....

They look like the same hardware to me. What I'm wondering is if it's better to go with one over the other to use in the USA.

I believe they are all the same underlying model (the HTC "Blue Angel").

As to which is better to get... I don't know -- you might want to check on pricing and support options for each to help you make a decision.

warranty and unlocked status is a BIG one. the MDAIII is a German device with a German ROM.

The imate is unlocked and english.

From what I'm gathering, it sounds like the i-mate PDA2K might be the easiest one for me to get, without dealing with any headaches since it's unlocked and in english. I'm super new at this and would hate to have to do any strange configuring or anything before I can use it. I want to be able to just open the box, turn it on and go!

Any suggestions on what I say when I call up T-Mobile and try and activate service?
