Pocket PC 6700 My PIN Locked!!! Help

A few days ago I reset my PIN on my phone the next morning I was in a ruch and typed in the 4 digit PIN to unlock my phone. After several attempts I realized I had been entering the old PIN. Now my phone is locked for 12 hours. There is a clock counting down until I can put my PIN in. I have been told my only option is a hard reset. But that is pointless b/c I lose all my date and phone #'s. Help. I want to get into my phone without losing the phone #'s at least. I know this is a security feature but sometimes technology can be to useful. My case is a classic example. Tiara

[Don't Panic!]

If you use activesync the next time you sync after a hard reset the phone numbers from the last time you sync'd will come back.

I will try that I am just hoping that I do not have to hard reset my phone. I tried to active sync it but the only problem is that I do not believe I did it correctly so the numbers may or may not be stored. Thanks anyway. TT
