i-Mate JAQ MIDI Ringtones - OMG

Hi there!
I just got my own i-mate JAQ, I almost configured it at 100%, but I have a problem:
Supposedly it supports WAV, MP3, WMA and MIDI ringtones. It plays first 3 format files with no problem (MP3 delays but it plays), but when I try to play a MIDI ringtone (either on the Sounds & Notifications or the Phone control panel) it does not play anything, or it plays the "Windows Default" ringtone.
Why is this happening? Do I need a MIDI synth like on a desktop PC?

PS: Yes, they are MIDI Type-1 files if you were going to ask.
