Default HTC TyTn II, cant press start, display closes after 10 seconds, moore...

Hi!
I have a TyTn II since a couple of days. Unfortunately I have some problems that I can see other people have too.
1. During a phone call the backligt dims out after 10sec. 4 secs later it is totally dark! Backligt is set to turn off after 3min!
2. During a phone call it is always impossible to press "Start - settings" or whatever with "Start". One can for instance never get support from HTC to adjust settings when calling from the TyTn II. It is what we say in Sweden a catch 22! It is the same sometimes when not on the phone, but it seems to work after a minute or two, but I can not say what triggered the lock of the possibility to press "Start, meaning I do not know what I did to cause this lock.....
3. In the manual it recommends you to install 3gnetopt.exe to increase Internet speed. After installing this I can not get internet connection to work at all... When starting this exe file it displays a dialogue that informs me what it will do, (increase the Internet speed) and it then asks me if I would like to continue. Unfortunately I answered yes and now it does not work at all!!
4. Another thing. When displaying the on screen telephone I can press all digits from 1-9, * and # plus start a video call but I can NOT press the “Dial” button on the screen. (I cant find it!) I have to use the physical button on the phone! Is it anybody that knows if there is an on screen solution to dial, except for video calls?

As I just sold my old TyTn (I) I was very happy to receive the TyTn II, but now I start to wonder what I have done!!

Anybody there that can help!

I saw the register thing, but I do not have the software to get in to the register!

You can adjust a lot of the TyTN II's settings (including the backlight issue you mentioned) with Kaiser-Tweak. You can get it here:

I don't know about this .EXE you mentioned; there was nothing in the documentation that came with mine telling me to add extra programs. And I'm just as unsure about how to tell it on-screen to dial the number I've just entered; I press the green phone button.
