Default HTC TyTN II => calendar synchronisation big problem !!!

I hope I can drop my problem here, otherwise please tell me where else. Since last week I received my new HTC TyTN II and immediately tried to sync my PIM-data.

Problem:
All PIM-data was synchronised, except my Calendar. Of all 5200 calendar-items, only 3200 items were synchronised. Old, actual and even future appointments were missing.

Configuration PC-old:
* PC => Windows XP/SP2
* Activesync 3.8
* Outlook 2002

Performed actions:
* Installed Activesync 4.5 (CD), without uninstall of Activesync 3.8
* Sync PIM-data completely => 5200 calendar items on PC; 3200 on PDA
* Partnership removed, data on PDA removed
* Sync PIM-data completely => same problem
* PDA hardreset
* Sync PIM-data completely => same problem

* Installation Outlook 2007 (CD), without uninstall of Outlook 2002 => doesn’t work, still Outlook 2002
* Outlook 2007 removed and installed once again => same problem
* All data on PDA removed; partnership removed
* Sync of only calendar => same problem

* Outlook 2002 removed and Outlook 2007 removed
* Installation Outlook 2007 => is working now, with all settings and and data included
* Sync of only calendar => same problem
* All data on PDA removed; partnership removed
* Sync of only calendar, only 1 month => same problem
* Activesync 4.5 removed and installed again from Microsoft website
* Sync of only calendar, only 1 month => 199 items on PC => 108 on PDA

Please, can somebody help me, because I’m desperate !!!
Thanks for all the help I get.

any items marked private?

could the unsynced items be "invited meetings" Possible issue with a meeting maker not in your address book?

Just shooting in the dark here, sorry.

JohnJohn,

Thanks for the help. Meanwhile I managed to synchronise again. The solution was as follows: make a new calendar folder in my Outlook, copied all calendar-items to it; deleted the content of original folder en one's again copied all calendar items back.

This solved the problem. But one problem remains, that is: synchronisation takes a long time. Is that normal with ActiveSync 4.5?

Glad I don't know. I use Exchange to sync, never plug mine in. You may try wiping the device. ActiveSync may be trying sync instead overwrite. In the past I found it's easier to overwrite the device, then sync data.

Are you plugged into a USB 2.0 port?

shooting in the dark again....sorry

JohnJohn,

Thanks for your fast reply. I use USB 2.0, but have done that with my old PDA (HP iPAQ 4150) with WM2003 and ActiveSync 3.8 for many years without problems.

Now using WM6 and ActiveSync 4.5 makes synchronisation a hell. I hope somebody knows how to solve this.
