Default How do I insert "wait" or "pause" in a phone number?

Hi,
I am very new to the world of converged devices. My last several cell phones have had an option to insert a wait or pause into a phone number stored in contacts. I would use this when dialing someone with an extension to their desk so I could call directly without having to remember the extension number. I recently bought an HTC 6800 (mogul?) and I can't figure out a way to do this. I have Pocket Informant installed on it, and I don't see anything there either. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to do this?
Thank you,
John

There was a thread a while back with several different methods for doing this. In my case I use a comma and each comma seems to be worth about two seconds.

The letter "p" or the letter "w".
