Default HELP!! MY PHONE IS LOCKED AGAIN!!!! I DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED

Hey guys, ive had my phone for about 5 months, when i bought it, the person who i got it from gave me the unlock code for the phone, and when i entered it in the phone was unlocked and everything worked great...but then just this evening, i was changing my pin code on the phone when all of a sudden it now says ENTER YOUR PUK CODE it says my sim card is blocked and i need to enter in the PUK...

so i re entered the original PUK code i got...and then it prompts me to enter in a new pin, when i do, it says i entered in a WRONG PUK...

so now im totallly stumped, and just dont know what to do...i need my phone for work tomorrow! and it just says enter PUK code..why wont my original unlock code work??

someone please help!!!!

you should try having a T-mobile subscriber to call the help line and have them get you the code

Hmm. As far as I know, the PUK code is needed when you get the PIN code wrong a certain number of times. This is indeed something you might have to get from T-Mobile. I'm not sure that the PUK is the same as the SIM unlock code...

thank you guys for your responses, indeed it is the PUK that i need....so i will try to get the PUK for my phone from T mobile...is this a universal code? or does it differ per phone? anyone know?

(actually now my sim card doesnt even work, it doesnt even recognize it anymore..i think it may be damaged...it does not read in any of my phones.)

Hmm. I'm not sure. You should try a Google Groups search on this to see if someone else knows.

It might be that you're "locked out" of your SIM, but that's just a guess.

I know that with UK networks if you get the PUK wrong x times in a row it invalidates the SIM and you have to buy a new one!

Oh, and PUK codes should be unique, otherwise what's the point?
