Default Disable Today Screen Plug-Ins...

Does anyone know how to disable certain today screen plugins? (Yeah, easy question but keep reading.)

My problem is that one of my plugins is causing my WM6 based Sprint Mogul to crash. I know it has something to do with SPB Pocket Plus 4.0 and other today screen plugins. I have no way to disable some and not others to trouble shoot as I don't know how get to that point. Each time WM6 tries to load it crashes right at the point where it would show the today screen.

The "safe mode" of Pocket Plus 4.0 deregisters all your plug ins completely so you cannot go into safemode and disable some and not others. WHAT IS THE POINT OF THAT?!?!?! So much for safe mode...

So does someone have some sage advice to add here? This is my 3rd hard reset that has landed me in the same boat. I've givent 2 previous resets my full attention but am unable to cure my phone of the malady caused by SPB Pocket Plus 4.0 and a conflict it has with some other plug-in.

Help! Please! I'm all ears...

Well, if you can not disable your today plug-ins in Safe Mode, can you uninstall them?

Why don't you list your plug-ins here to see if any users have had experience with compatibility issues.

I can say that Wisbar Advance has issues with Pocket Plus (at least Pocket Plus 3.x and WA 2.x) but I don't remember any crashing. I had to disable the task menu in one of them to get full functionality.

In your case, my suggestion would be to figure out which is the most important plug in and install it. Wait for a few days and then decide on the next one, backing up beforehand so you can easily restore if there are issues.

Please give us more details about the plugins you're using.

I also have a Sprint Mogul, and use PocketPlus4, but don't seem to be having troubles with the combo.

I fixed it on my own. I removed the last 3 programs I had installed figuring that might get me some wiggle room.

Then after disablign all plug-ins and messing around a lot the nearest I can tell is the problem is Worldmate. I'm still in the process of fudging this into working but no joy yet. I think I'm pretty close though.

Default Worldmate Crashes WM6 with SPPC 4.0...

Can anyone else confirm this?

I sure cannot get around it. No matter what I do the installation of Worldmate Pro and Spb Pocket Plus 4.0 cripples my device in an endless cycle of reboots that never stop.

Totally sucks because I love both products and really enjoy Worldmate a lot.

It sounds like you found the problem.
I don't use WorldMate, which might explain why I haven't had such problems with Pocket Plus.
My other active today screen plugins are: Spb Mobile Shell, Spb PhoneSuite, SBSH PocketBreeze, and XCast (a small Mortscript app by Codyppc).
I also have a few more running within tabs on Mobile Shell, but they're not technically active on my today screen I suppose.
Did you post on Spbclub.com to see if anyone else uses your combo and is having probs?

Do you need to use the today plug-in for WorldMate?

Have you tried to use the plug-in as a tab in Pocket Plus? If you have, is that the problem?

Unfortunately, there are compatibility issues out there. Sometimes a workaround can be found, sometimes it can not
