No, I don't believe it's possible - the pinout is most likely different. That's one disadvantage to Sony products - they use a memory card format that few other devices use...

OK

But my mem stick reader has a serial cable on end that hooks up to my PC - it works with standard serial cable wiring on any PC/latop.

So might it not be possible to connect this serial socket into an adapter that would then go into a slot on my xda?

btw - what type of connector does xda use - the one that connects the cradle to xda (or DC charging cable to xda) - i've not seen a slot like it before - looks almost like a very thin usb port (not the SD/MMC slot - the other one).

thanks

The XDA uses a proprietary connector that you won't find an adaptor for - unfortunately. But that was my point - unless you want to build your own cable with a custom pinout, what you're asking for isn't possible. I'm not trying to be discouraging, but every Pocket PC has a slightly different connector just to make things difficult for us...

ok - thanks - i misunderstood you b4...

I imagine someone will come up with an adaptor that will allow u to connect the xda proprietary slot to USB. Now if i could plug my USB pen storage device into xda via a cable/connector - now that would be very cool

http://zadaw.com sell lots of SD/MMC cards and readers etc. - some devices will read all 6 of the main flash card types (CF/SM/SD/MMC/sony mem stick (magicgate))

Shame there isn't a multi-card reader that allows you to transfer data from one type to another within the reader it'self) - ah well back to lugging camcorder, laptop and xda around.....

btw - on O2 u can just pull out your sim card and slot it back into yer mobile (nokia 6210 - far superior for phoning in the car than xda) - so u don't have to take yer precious xda down the pub/club etc of a saturday nite and lose it/get stabbed for it....
