Cab Files

Won't someone ple-e-e-z tell me how I can copy .cab files to ActiveSync?

When I had my T-Mobile all I did was copy the .cab file, install through CabInstl and I was ready to go.

Now I have an Imate and for the life of me, I can't copy the .cab file using ActiveSync. I find good apps but when I try to install, it just won't work.

I'm confused. You can't just copy the .CAB file through Explore in AS? That's how I always do it, and then I tap on it through File Explorer.
