Nope, Won't work. Similar as they may seem, they were actually manufactured by two different companies. Plus, the E750 series has a different graphic processor and cpu.

:? Actually I think it might. The only real difference is the transflective screen and the XScale 255 processor being on the E750 series. Other than that, they're identical. As far as I know they are made by the same manufacture. Toshiba used a different manufacture for the E3XX series.

I have to eat my words. The E740 is made by Accelent whereas the E750 is made by Compal. But it still shouldn't take much coding to get the ROM into the E740.

It doesnt work i have downloaded the PPC 2003 for e750 but it doesnt work u cant upgrade

hey all, first post on ppc thoughts......

Just ordered an e740 WiFi, should be here by tuesday, i think the problem probably comes with the changed architecture, as the speed of the processor is essentially the same, and the change in memory capacity isnt a huge problem, they must have changed the architecture on the 750, otherwise there wouldnt have been much point in releasing it?

we can only keep buggin and buggin toshiba for a 740 update, but i have only heard reports of endless bugs in 2003, is it really that much better than 2002?
