Default Want to connect e830 thu Airporter

I connect to internet via Powerbook and Airporter hooked up to cable
modem. I just got a e830 and want to access internet thru the Airporter using the e830's wifi capability - not having any luck. Do I need another piece of hardware? Appreciate any suggestions - tj

Hi tjames8, welcome to PPCT!

What exactly is the problem you are facing? It would help in troubleshooting if you outline exactly what you've done to try and get them connected.

I think tjames8 wants to connect directly to the Airporter (are you sure it's not AirPort?) instead of passing through his Powerbook. In that case, we'll need to know a little something about how your Airporter is configured. Are you using any kind of encryption - WEP or WPA? Are you broadcasting your SSID?

You should just power up your e830 and turn on the wifi switch at the bottom of the screen. Wait for the orange wifi light to turn on to confirm that your wifi is working, and wait for the OS to tell you that there are access points close by. If you're hiding your SSID, then you'll have to enter that in config of your device.
